Duane Marriner

Duane-AW-editDuane received a Masters of Applied Science degree in Mechanical Engineering (Acoustics) from U.B.C in 1979.  Since then he has gained over 11 years of experience in acoustics and noise control engineering, as a private sector consultant.  From 2002 to present Duane has worked as an acoustical engineer at Wakefield Acoustics Ltd.  There he conducted a wide range of projects in community/environmental noise impact assessment and control, industrial noise control, architectural acoustics, building noise control and vibration control.

Internationally, Duane has given presentations including rubberized asphalt at Transportation Research Board Summer Meeting Seattle 2005, sound wall design at Acoustics’08 Paris ASA EAA SFA and bridge joint noise at Inter-noise 2011 Osaka.
