Level 2 Nightclub

The Modern Café in Nanaimo, BC had an attic space above the restaurant that the owner wished to convert into a nightclub. However, there was concern that that the high noise levels created by music in the club would prove disturbing to Café patrons and Wakefield Acoustics Ltd. were retained to “sound proof” the upper attic space club design. During a site visit to the club, the layout and construction of the proposed club were discussed and the existing noise insulation of the attic space was measured. Wakefield Acoustics then worked closely with the architect and interior designer to sound proof the walls, floors and ceilings of the club to the extent possible.
