Victoria High School Auditorium

In 2011, the alumni of Victoria High School (constructed in 1890’s) provided funding for the renovation of the school auditorium.  While visually impressive, this heritage facility had suffered from a poor acoustical environment (excessive reverberation and mechanical system noise) for over 100 years. In conjunction with Ladi Holovsky, Architects, Wakefield Acoustics Ltd. assessed the current conditions and developed acoustical treatments that preserved the beauty of the space while substantially reducing reverberation times, thereby improving speech intelligibility and music quality in the auditorium.
